Comprehensive Package

 

A comprehensive approach provides the opportunity to get to know a student over time, and on and on a personal level, in order to best guide him/her throughout the process.  This package covers the entire college process and includes regularly scheduled meetings, To-Do's, and follow-up correspondence. A student is also provided with their own college planning software account that helps to stay organized and simplify the entire process.

The comprehensive package includes the following:

• Initial intake session

• Review of high school transcript, test scores, and extra-curricular activities

• Recommendations on academic curriculum and extra-curricular activities to further develop students’ talents and interests.

• ACT and SAT test planning and preparation

• Letter of recommendation planning

• Essay writing strategies and review

• Supplementary essay review 

• Development of time management skills to help students stay on track during each stage of the college application and admissions process

• Interest Assessment and Inventory, exploring possible majors

• Discussion of potential career interests along with the academic curriculum and skills that support these interests. Exploration of potential colleges and universities to consider.

• Review of financial aid, including scholarships

• Discussion of college affordability

• Creation of an initial college list to further research and evaluate

• College visit strategy and preparation

• Assistance with resume building and review

• Application review

• College interview preparation

• Assistance with final college choice
